Build Your Skills Fun Day – Newsham Park

What an incredible day of learning, laughter, and local pride!

A&B Engineering was proud to take part in the Build Your Skills Fun Day at Newsham Park—a vibrant community event that brought together families, industry professionals, and local organisations for a day filled with hands-on discovery and shared enthusiasm.

In partnership with Morgan Sindall Construction, Liverpool City Council, and the Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections Team, we helped deliver an event designed to introduce young people to the exciting world of engineering—through fun, practical activities that sparked curiosity and creativity.

Over 100 young people and their families came along to get involved, exploring the basics of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering in an interactive and engaging setting. From wiring simple circuits to experimenting with tools, the day offered children a chance to experience the kind of work we do every day—and maybe even picture themselves doing it too, one day.

Our A&B Engineering team showed up in full force, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Their energy and dedication made a lasting impression on every visitor. A heartfelt thank you to Joe Allt, Dylan Strand, Jacob Rowley, Craig Sanders, Matt Borlase, and Dawn Georgeson, who gave their time, enthusiasm, and expertise to make the day such a success.

This is what happens when community, creativity, and collaboration come together—real impact, real smiles, and real opportunities.
