University Technical Colleges (UTC’s) are government funded schools that offer 14-18 year olds a great deal more than traditional schools. They teach students technical and scientific subjects in a whole new way and are educating the inventors, engineers, scientists and technicians of tomorrow. This UTC @ Media City that we are working on with
BAM Construction will combine core academic subjects with the opportunity to study and gain practical experience in TV, Film, Graphics and Design, Radio and Audio or Interactive Media and Gaming. This is the second UTC we have worked on as we completed the Liverpool Life Sciences UTC a couple of years back with Kier. Here we were contracted to Design and Install :
Gas Suppression Systems, Kitchen Extract Ventilation, Specialist Extract Systems, VRF Heating and Cooling, Gas Fired Heating, Hot and Cold Water, Sanitary and Above Ground Drainage, Building Management and Control Systems, Dry Risers, Internal Gas Distribution, Mains and Sub Mains Electrical, Lighting and Emergency Lighting, Small Power, Fire Alarm, Disabled Alarm, Security, Access Control, CCTV, TV Aerial System, Lightning Protection, Earthing and Bonding and full Commissioning and Handover.
This project was Designed and Drawn in 3D using the AutoCad Revit Platform and we believe we have delivered a quality installation that our client can be proud of. It has been another successful partnership with BAM Construction adding to what we have done together recently at Liverpool Community College, University of Liverpool and where we are currently on site at Aintree Accident and Emergency new build.
