The Echo Street development required the delivery of high-quality mechanical and electrical services across three high-rise towers, accommodating over 1,200 students. The challenge was to meet demanding sustainability targets while coordinating complex services within a dense, multi-storey student living environment.
A&B Engineering delivered the full design and installation of M&E services in collaboration with Waterman Building Services. The scheme incorporated energy-efficient systems to support a BREEAM Excellent rating, providing modern, reliable services across clustered apartments and single rooms within the interconnected towers.
The project will deliver 1,224 high-quality student beds in a sustainable, well-connected development designed for long-term performance. Completion in early 2026 will further strengthen A&B Engineering’s student accommodation portfolio while supporting local employment, apprenticeships, and social value initiatives.
