St Helens Town Centre Regeneration

As works continue to progress across the St Helens Town Centre regeneration programme, A&B Engineering is pleased to be supporting the delivery of several key elements within this major redevelopment scheme.

The wider project will transform the town centre through the introduction of a new hotel, residential accommodation, and a new Market Hall, alongside significant public realm improvements designed to create a vibrant and welcoming destination for residents, visitors, and local businesses.

In addition, construction of the new St Helens Bus Interchange is scheduled to commence this spring, with completion anticipated later this summer. The interchange will play an important role in improving connectivity and enhancing the overall transport experience within the town centre.

We are proud to contribute to a scheme that will support long-term regeneration, investment, and sustainable growth in St Helens, and we look forward to sharing further updates as works continue to progress on site.

The project is being delivered in partnership with ECF, St Helens Council, and VINCI Building UK.

Supporting Liverpool Zoe’s Place Gala Ball We were incredibly proud to support the Liverpool Zoe’s Place Gala Ball as a Silver Sponsor on 13 February this year. Held at the iconic St George’s Hall, the evening brought together individuals and organisations united by a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference within the community. It was a truly memorable event, filled with generosity, collaboration, and a strong sense of purpose. Thanks to the outstanding support shown throughout the evening, the event raised more than £150,000 in profit for Liverpool Zoe’s Place — an incredible achievement that will directly support the babies, children, and families who rely on the hospice’s vital care services every day. During the event, A&B Engineering was honoured to pledge funding to cover a full day of hospice care. This moment reflected both the spirit of the evening and the importance of supporting organisations that provide such essential and compassionate services. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire Liverpool Zoe’s Place team for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful and impactful occasion. The atmosphere, generosity, and shared dedication to helping others made it a very special night. We are also grateful to Box Clever Consulting, Graham Flynn and Helen for their partnership and contribution in delivering such a successful event. Supporting our communities is something we care deeply about, and we are proud to stand alongside organisations that make a lasting and positive difference.

At A&B Engineering, Apprenticeship Week provides an opportunity to recognise the important role apprentices play within our business and the wider engineering industry. We are proud to support apprenticeships as a key pathway into engineering, helping individuals develop practical skills, gain industry experience, and build long-term careers. Our apprentices are an integral part of our team, contributing to projects while learning from experienced engineers and developing the technical and professional skills needed for the future. Through structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience, we aim to create an environment where apprentices can grow with confidence and achieve their potential. Investing in apprenticeships is part of our wider commitment to social value. By providing opportunities for young people and those looking to retrain, we help strengthen local skills, support employment, and contribute positively to our communities. As we celebrate Apprenticeship Week, we would like to thank our apprentices for their dedication and enthusiasm, and we look forward to supporting the next generation of engineering talent.
