Throughout September, A&B Engineering is supporting Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and encouraging open conversations around mental health and wellbeing.
Within the construction and engineering industries, pressures are not always visible. Creating a workplace where people feel comfortable speaking openly, checking in with colleagues and asking for support is therefore incredibly important.
At A&B Engineering, we see ourselves as more than colleagues—we are a working family. We are committed to looking out for one another, listening without judgement and offering support through both the positive and more difficult times.
Sometimes, a simple question such as “Are you okay?” can be the beginning of an important conversation.
As part of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September, we are reminding everyone across our offices, project sites and the wider industry of the importance of checking in with those around them.
Supporting mental health is not limited to one day or one month. At A&B Engineering, we will continue working to create an environment where everyone feels valued, supported and able to speak when they need help.
Talk. Listen. Check in. Support one another. No one should have to face difficult times alone.
